Site survey As per the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's) the following factors should be taken into account for your site survey: the boundaries of the area of operation the type of airspace and the applicable regulatory requirements the altitude and routes to be used on approach to and departures from the area of operation the proximity to any aircraft operations the proximity of aerodromes, airports, and heliports the location and height of any obstacles, including wires, masts, buildings, and cell phone towers the predominant weather and environmental conditions for the area of operation the horizontal distance to persons not involved in the operations You can use Google or any other similar online resource to evaluate the site location; then import the image into an editing software to help you visually plan the flight.
