Performance Criteria Perhaps the most important part of the flight review is the work you do prior to showing up; putting in the time to make a proper site survey, emergency contact sheet, and making sure you are familiar with all your procedures can make all the difference when you are put in the stressful environment of flying RPA's. In this section, you will get a better idea of all the things we look for when we evaluate on your ability to: provide a satisfying site survey clearly brief the flight reviewer or any other required flight crew of any duties they are to perform or any other information relevant to the flight use the appropriate and current aeronautical charts and other current flight publications extract and record penitent information in those publications either on paper or digital format (a binder is a great organization tool) properly identify airspace, obstructions, and terrain features select a safe and efficient take off location and flight route within the area provided by the flight reviewer obtain all pertinent information on local air routes and aerodromes retrieve and interpret weather information and NOTAM relevant to the intended flight determine the accessibility of existing or forecast weather conditions select the most favorable and appropriate altitudes, considering weather conditions and equipment limitations determine the appropriate departure procedures make a competent go no go decision based on available information for the flight demonstrate that the weights, and center of gravity are within acceptable manufacture limits (bring RPAS specifications sheet) organize and arrange material and equipment in a manner that makes the items readily available The Check in Process Before we start the review we will perform a check in, including: verifying your identity verifying your two required reference numbers (drone portal + advanced exam) validate that you have all the required items the flight reviewer will perform a flight review briefing
