Born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia, Martin Gregus is an internationally awarded wildlife photographer and cinematographer. Martin’s passion for travel and photography started when he was just 8 years old. Now after almost 19 years, he has journeyed to all 7 continents, visiting dozens of countries and some of the planet's most unique ecosystems. His images have received numerous awards, including 2 wins and 2 nominations at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in London, UK. Currently based in Canada Martin is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild IATSE 669. Having worked extensively throughout the Americas, as well as the South Pacific, it was his thorough knowledge and experience of the Arctic and Antarctica that earned him world recognition. Among various projects, it was Martin's work with polar bears that made him an international sensation following its coverage in National Geographic magazine in 2022. Working together with his dad Martin has continued his exploration of the polar regions, working on several cinematic projects for Disney, BBC and Netflix, offering a truly unique approach to the aerial filming industry.
